Sauteed Green Beans with Minced Pork
MEDIUM 20 MINUTES
• 5 oz minced pork (prefer with some fat)
• 1 lb green beans
• 6 slices of carrots (optional)
• 1 tbsp preserved olive (optional)
• 2 tsp garlic (chopped)
• 1 tsp fish sauce
• Cornstarch water (1 tsp cornstarch & 1 tbsp of water - mix well)
• 1 tsp Sesame oil
• ½ tsp sugar
• ½ tsp oyster sauce
• 2 tsp soy sauce
• ½ tsp sugar
• Some ground pepper
1 Wash green beans, break them into 1-2 inches long pieces.
2 Marinate minced pork with soy sauce, sugar and ground pepper.
3 Heat wok, add 1 tsp oil, saute 1 tsp of chopped garlic. Stir fry minced pork until cooked. Remove from wok for later use.
4 Heat wok, add 1 tsp oil, add in remaining chopped garlic to stir fry green beans and carrots for 1 minute. Add preserved olive, stir fry and mix well.
5 Add in fish sauce, ½ tsp oyster sauce and ½ tsp sugar, stir fry. Add ¾ cup of water, cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes until green beans are cooked.
6 Add in cooked minced pork, cover with lid again and cook with medium heat for 1 minute.
7 Check if more seasoning is needed. Add in cornstarch water to thicken the sauce if sauce is watery. Drizzle some sesame oil. Dish up. Serve hot.
