Stir Fried Asparagus with Mushrooms and Beef

• 4 oz beef
• 1 lb asparagus
• 8 white mushrooms
• 1 small red carrot
• 3 cloves of garlic (sliced)
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 pinch of salt
• 1 tsp oyster sauce
• ¼ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp cornstarch
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp sugar
TIP
Do not overcook asparagus and beef.
1 Slice beef thinly, marinate for 30 minutes. Add some oil to cover beef slices.
2 Wash asparagus and cut off the tough ends. Cut asparagus into 1.5 inch sections.
3 Wash mushrooms and cut them into halves. Peel carrot and slice thinly.
4 Heat wok in high heat. Add 1 tbsp oil, saute garlic slices until golden brown. Add beef, stir fry until almost cooked. Place beef on a plate and set aside for later use.
5 Heat wok in high heat. Add 1 tbsp oil, put in carrot slices, stir fry for 2 minutes.
6 Add asparagus and mushrooms, keep heat on high and add 2 tbsp water. Add a pinch of salt, stir fry until tender (about 2 min).
7 Add beef slices back to wok, add 1 tsp oyster sauce and mix well.
8 Dish up. Serve Hot.
